Our Story

Hi, I’m Jamie, the founder of Alben.

Like so many people who find their way to natural skincare, I have struggled with skin conditions my entire life. From acne and seborrheic dermatitis to rosacea and eczema, I felt like I had tried everything - but Tallow was the first thing that actually calmed it down.

As a former Chef, I look at skincare the same way I look at food: quality comes from the source. You can't make a great dish with poor ingredients, and you can't make a premium tallow balm without high quality suet.

That is why, at Alben, we don't cut corners. We use pure, leaf fat (suet) sourced only from British farms. It is the "filet mignon" of tallow - cleaner, purer, and more nutrient-dense than standard off-cuts.

That pursuit of purity and British heritage is where our name comes from; Alben is an Old English word meaning "white" or "pure."

I am incredibly proud to release our flagship product: the Alben Whipped Tallow Balm.

We’ve spent months perfecting this recipe; testing blends and refining the balance of essential oils until we found the perfect formula - one that maximises the healing properties of the tallow while enhancing it with the gentle properties of nature.
